A Different Kind Of Bias - We spend a lot of time talking about media bias under the guise of ideology. The data doesn't back that up. On the other hand, you have a cultural bias. On Monday Note Gilles Raymond breaks down the way that news is produced and the way it can distort our perceptions.
Homicidal Negligence - When a water slide kills someone it is usually a freak accident. In the case of a water park in Kansas, it appears to have been nearly preventable. After being designed by people who aren't engineers, there was a nonfatal accident that warned the slide wasn't safe. An aggressive coverup by the park's owners involved intimidation of teenage lifeguards.
The Climate Suit - In what is going to be a fascinating precedent, Chevron goes on record saying Climate Change is real and human chased. They maintain there are no reasons they should be sued and held responsible. But if you were looking for an oil company to spew the whole conspiracy of science meme, you're disappointed.
The Big Bang And Evolving Spacetime - An excellent article in Forbes of all places that breaks down the physics as to why all of the matter of the Universe, when condensed before the Big Bang did not collapse into a black hole.
