It's less impressive that I make this website solo
Becoming The Media - Watching Facebook try and figure out how to be a media company is pretty hilarious. They tried swallowing up the entire discourse of modern society without a single thought. It turns out there's more to being the media than chasing the ad buy checks.
Signing Prince - Though I doubt that anyone needed to help him become a superstar, Prince's early manager was blown away when he found out that a demo was recorded entirely by one guy, and that he was only 18. Noisey has an excerpt from a new book detailing the story.
Edutainment With More Stabbing - Polygon takes a run through Assassin’s Creed Origins with experts in Egyptology at Chicago’s Field Museum.
Sweating Out The BS - Something that shouldn't surprise anyone who paid attention in biology classes, it turns out that a sauna doesn't remove toxins. If you're into relaxing by sweating, that's fine, but the health benefits are scant.
Halfway to Neuromancer - If you read any Cyberpunk, you remember when authors imagined the Internet as a physical space, the idea of a VR browser should get a chuckle. I'm still somewhat bearish on VR as a tech; I think the dingus factor has yet to overcome. However, this could also be adapted for AR, allowing you to keep a web browser off to the side of your vision while you work.
